Just about everything I know I attribute to Ohio HD. Amongst all the people who work here, they were patient enough to sit down and answer, with detail, and question I had. Now that I am developing my skills even further they are more than willing to maintain our relationship and enable my creativity. If you are thinking about using them as a resource, you shouldn't think about it much longer, and you should just do it.
"Ohio HD afforded me an understanding of production equipment, lighting setups, and cameras at an industry level. Through working with their equipment rentals, I received first-hand experience handling high-end production cameras, including RED, ARRI and Phantom systems. I was also able to learn the industry set-terms and lingo for G&E, as well as more specific information on 3-phase power and rigging safety on set. The team at Ohio HD is knowledgeable in all fields from business operations, management, to audio/video/VR and Post-Production services and they shaped my internship to meet my learning objectives. Ohio HD gave me a production backbone that has afforded me job opportunities both on-set and in post-production."
"I look back at my time as an intern for Ohio HD as the most beneficial experience I could have had as student of video/media production. Throughout my summer there, I had the opportunity to practice with their vast collection of industry standard equipment that I never would have had access to in school. My fellow interns and I worked on many different assignments together. We grew very close as a group and remain in contact to this day. Some of our tasks could have been: filming original videos, researching different pieces of equipment, studio upkeep, entering film contests and even going on professional shoots. The Ohio HD staff are all working professionals in this field who acted as mentors to the interns. They were very eager to see us succeed and more than willing to help us through any obstacles we faced. By the end of our time there, the interns all agreed that we wish we could have stayed even longer.
I would summarize being an Ohio HD intern as having 4 years’ worth of college experience in one summer. The more I put into my time there, the more I got out of it. I genuinely recommend applying as an intern to anyone considering a career in the production/entertainment field."
